The CN Symington Yard Engineering department was recently nominated for the lunch break, and they won for March.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“They work hard every day to keep the freight from around the world on time,” says Jacob, who nominated the crew. “They work even harder to keep the city of Winnipeg safe by keeping the rail tracks maintained well.”<\/p>\n
Never a Dull Moment<\/p>\n
The staff of engineers, roughly 25 people, were initially supposed to be waiting in the lunch room. However, due to an emergency that happened the night before, the group were working very hard to clean up a situation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
CHVN was unable to connect with the group, but a manager met Sylvia St. Cyr in the parking lot to explain. The lunch was still delivered so that the staff could stop to eat. The lunch break from Danny’s Whole Hog was well deserved, as some of the crew had worked through the night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The manager left a gift with St. Cyr, although it’s never necessary or expected. She walked away with a fancy foreman helmet that included headphones, a visor, and a bright light.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The group also got dessert from The Butter Tart Lady, as well as gifts from OK Tire Transcona, Cinden Group of Pharmacies, Destiny Road Coffee, and Matthew Havelka of Vivico Real Estate.<\/p>\n
