The City of Edmonton <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edmonton.ca\/activities_parks_recreation\/recreation-leisure-centres-pools\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">website<\/a> provides details for specific locations.<\/p>\n<p>Attractions: The Edmonton Valley Zoo will be open on Easter Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Edmonton Public Library: All locations will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday\/Monday.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/edmonton-tranist.jpg\" alt=\"edmonton trasit\" title=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1233954 size-full\" width=\"1075\" height=\"555\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-1233954\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">LisaBourgeault\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>Edmonton Transit:\u00a0LRT services will operate under the Sunday service schedule on Friday, April 3. On April 6, Public and Catholic school services will be cancelled, and Route 4 service will be reduced.\u00a0All other buses will continue to run regular weekday service.<\/p>\n<p>Parking: No payment is required for on-street parking on Friday, April 3 and Sunday, April 20.<\/p>\n<p>The impound lot will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, April 3 and will be closed on Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Movie theatres<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/cineplex-BOGO-deal.jpg\" alt=\"calgary new year\" title=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1464962 size-full\" width=\"1075\" height=\"555\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-1464962\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">JHVEPhoto\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>Cineplex Entertainment and Landmark Cinemas have doors open for moviegoers who want to grab some popcorn, snacks, and a comfy cinema seat to enjoy this Easter long weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Each Cineplex theatre opens 30 minutes before its first advertised performance and will close approximately 15 minutes after its last advertised performance.
