UFC boss Dana White has given a positive update on the fighting future of former two-weight world champion Conor McGregor.<\/p>\n

For the longest time now, Conor McGregor has been pretty invested<\/a> in the idea of a return to competitive mixed martial arts \u2013 or at least that\u2019s how it seems based on his social media activity. However, there has been no official announcement from the UFC regarding when it\u2019s going to happen.<\/p>\n

McGregor has always been one of the most intriguing fighters to follow in terms of fight announcements, mainly because he is easily one of the biggest stars in combat sports, and that has been the case for well over a decade now.<\/p>\n

In a recent update after UFC Seattle, White had the following to say on getting a deal over the line with McGregor.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cPossibly,\u201d UFC CEO Dana White said about nearing a deal for McGregor\u2019s return at the UFC Seattle post-fight press conference. \u201cNothing\u2019s done. Nothing\u2019s even remotely close to being done. Yes [we\u2019d like him to fight in July].\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was pretty optimistic at the end of last year [that Conor was going to fight again],\u201d White said. \u201cEnd of last year, going into this year, I\u2019m still confident.\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no clear sign as to who Conor will face, but the likes of Max Holloway and Jorge Masvidal have been floated as ideas, both of which would be absolutely huge.<\/p>\n
