The upper ridge allows for more subsiding air to sink down, and as it gets down towards the Earth’s surface, it becomes warmer.”

Periods of rain are also expected to return to the Vancouver weather forecast this week, with precipitation expected to fall starting on Tuesday night and lasting until Saturday morning.

“We do see a significant system in the North Pacific and Gulf of Alaska,” added Loney. “It will make its way down to the south coast and make its presence felt Tuesday night. So we are in for a mixed bag latter part of the week.”

ECCC

Temperatures will remain fairly mild during the overnight periods, with lows of 5˚C on Tuesday, March 31, Wednesday, April 1, and Saturday, April 4.

ECCC is also calling for a UV index of 3 or moderate on Monday and Tuesday, so you may want to cover up even with cloudy weather.

“The UV Index was developed to help Canadians protect themselves from the sun’s damaging UV (ultraviolet) rays,” said ECCC online.

“The higher the UV Index, the stronger the sun’s rays, and the greater the need to take sun safety precautions. In Canada the UV Index ranges from 0 to 11+.”

If you’re looking for some ideas on how to enjoy the week in Vancouver, no matter the weather, check out our list of 20 fantastic things to do this week.

Fill your schedule with the Big Easter Run, Curry Cup, French Montana, and more.

Spring is well underway in Vancouver, and you may need to plan your wardrobe accordingly to account for…

[194298
49,48,55
post-571257","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-vancouver","tag-ca","tag-canada","tag-vancouver
["GET
