{"id":571353,"date":"2026-03-30T19:36:16","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T19:36:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/571353\/"},"modified":"2026-03-30T19:36:16","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T19:36:16","slug":"cherry-blossoms-will-soon-bloom-in-mississauga-and-other-parts-of-southern-ontario","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/571353\/","title":{"rendered":"Cherry blossoms will soon bloom in Mississauga and other parts of southern Ontario"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Signs of early spring abound \u2014 more daylight, active morning birds, baseball\u00a0and, in some circles, talk of the annual and brilliantly colourful blooming of cherry blossoms has begun.<\/p>\n<p>With a high of 17 C today in Mississauga and a call for 20 C on Tuesday, the warmer temperatures of spring are here, which means, among other things, the ethereal beauty of the blossoms is only weeks away in the Greater Toronto Area and other parts of southern Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>Cherry blossom season, which usually arrives around mid-spring or so, is best viewed within the borders of Canada\u2019s seventh-largest city at Kariya Park, the tranquil Japanese-style green space named for Mississauga\u2019s sister city in Japan and located in the downtown core.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on how warm the temperatures get, cherry blossoms can start to bloom in Mississauga and across the GTA anywhere from late April, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/stunning-cherry-blossoms-start-to-bloom-in-mississauga\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">as they did in 2024<\/a>, into the middle of May, as they did back in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Kariya Park turned a near-full pink in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/video-the-cherry-blossoms-are-blooming-in-mississauga\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">first couple of days of May<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The blossoms and their breathtaking beauty don\u2019t last long, though.
