Vancouver-native Jae Seong Bae only came to Edmonton as part of a work project.<\/p>\n
But one fateful October 11 morning, Bae happened to buy a LOTTO 6\/49 ticket from the H Mart near 34 Avenue and Calgary Trail NW.<\/p>\n
Months later, once the work project wrapped up, Bae finally got around to checking his ticket on the lottery\u2019s official app and learned he\u2019d just won $1 million.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was like, \u2018Wow!\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cYou dream about it, but it happened!\u201d<\/p>\n

Bae won his jackpot on the Gold Ball draw. He says he plans to take time away from work and use his winnings to take a European vacation.<\/p>\n
