In 2025, the Golden State Valkyries became the most successful expansion franchise in WNBA history.<\/p>\n

The Valkyries finished 23-21 and became the first expansion<\/a> team to make the playoffs in its inaugural season \u2014 setting<\/a> the all-time regular-season attendance records for average attendance and total fans at “Ballhalla<\/a>” in the process. <\/p>\n

The Valkyries just rewarded their fans for their overwhelming support.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the Valkyries revealed a brand-new Nike “Explorer Edition” violet jersey ahead of the WNBA’s 30th season, which tips off on May 8. The Valkyries will open in Seattle on May 8 and host the Phoenix Mercury for their home opener on May 10.<\/p>\n

This jersey is our response to that energy, a bold reinforcement of everything we\u2019ve built in year one. Violet anchors the jersey, which is modern, powerful, and bold, reflecting the fierce commitment of our players and the pulse of the Bay AreaWing elements from the Valkyries’ primary icon sit beneath the arms, nodding to the flight of the ValkyriesLines on the shorts represent cables from the Bay Bridge, bridging San Francisco and OaklandInfusion of gold on the sides of the uniform and on the waistband, which is a nod to the Golden State name and tertiary colorValkyries founding partners, Chase and Kaiser Permanente logo patches, are proudly displayed on the front”Golden State” across the chest, and the Valkyries\u2019 primary icon is prominently featured on the shorts<\/p>\n

The violet “Explorer Edition” jerseys will be available to purchase at the Golden State Shop in Thrive City on Tuesday and are expected to hit the team’s official online shop<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n
