In the Feb. 26, 2026 article about a 20-storey apartment tower with 175 suites being approved by Surrey city council for construction in Guildford, it states that \u201caccording to a planning report, the Surrey School District expects that seven school-aged children would be housed here \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Seven children in a 175-suite building? Is this accurate? If so, the citizens of Surrey need to know who is writing these planning reports.<\/p>\n
It is reasonable to ask city council how this apartment project, called \u201cVivere,\u201d which includes \u201cchildren\u2019s play space\u201d and an indoor kids playroom, will house only seven school-aged children. I note further that the article states that no public hearing took place prior to the project being approved.<\/p>\n

This data informs predictions for new developments.
