<\/p>\nA grieving Calgary mother says she\u2019s having difficulty keeping her emotions in check after losing everything she owned, including her late son\u2019s ashes, in a recent apparent house explosion.<\/p>\n

Trish Harris was one of several Calgarians living in a multi-unit dwelling on 34th Avenue NE who lost their homes the morning of March 23 in the community of Highland Park.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe windows and doors in front of me just blew right out and shattered,\u201d says Harris.<\/p>\n
Calgary Fire is still investigating the cause of the blaze.<\/p>\n
Harris says she\u2019s been a wreck ever since, having faced a number of losses in her life in just a short time.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey say everything happens in threes,\u201d says Harris, who in just the last five months has not only lost her home, but also her boyfriend and her son. \u201cSo I\u2019m hoping this is the last of it and I\u2019ll have a fresh start.\u201d<\/p>\n

Everything she\u2019s owned is also gone, along with the ashes of her 28-year-old son Tyler, who passed away in February.<\/p>\n

Her boyfriend\u2019s ashes are also gone. He passed away in October following a short battle with cancer.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s all gone. I mean, of course I lost everything else but that\u2019s, you know, the most important to me,\u201d says Harris.<\/p>\n
Harris\u2019s daughter, Samantha Ramsey, says she hasn\u2019t \u201cquite finished\u201d grieving her older brother, saying losing his ashes has impacted the entire family.<\/p>\n
\u201cUnfortunately, this has happened and all of us have lost a huge piece of our lives not only losing our brother physically, but we\u2019ve lost, essentially we\u2019ve lost him again because his ashes are gone,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n
Since the fire, Harris has been staying in hotels and says she\u2019s even had to stay a night or two in her own vehicle.<\/p>\n
Harris tells Global News that she didn\u2019t have renters\u2019 insurance.<\/p>\n
\u201cIts just trying to find a place and just not having the finances, you know, just nothing \u2014 it\u2019s difficult,\u201d says Harris. \u201cYou\u2019ve got to do what you\u2019ve got to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ramsey admits that it\u2019s been equally as difficult to watch what her mother\u2019s been going thorough this past week with no place to go.<\/p>\n

\u201cI struggle because there\u2019s not more that I can do. I don\u2019t have a house that I can just be like, here, here\u2019s a place for you to live. And I don\u2019t have all the money that I can be like, here, I\u2019ll pay for everything and make sure it\u2019s all taken care of,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n
