Two men were wounded Monday evening in Montreal\u2019s Sud-Ouest borough in an attack with a sharp object.<\/p>\n
The incident took place at a licensed establishment in Ville-\u00c9mard, on Monk Blvd., near Springland St., Montreal police spokesperson Johany Charland said. Police were alerted to the presence of a man \u201cpossibly armed with a knife\u201d around 11:10 p.m.<\/p>\n
A 49-year-old man had injuries to his upper and lower body, while the other victim, a 31-year-old man, had lower-body injuries.<\/p>\n
Both were transported to hospital, where their injuries were declared non-life threatening.<\/p>\n
Police believe that \u201ca conflict broke out between the 49-year-old victim and the suspect,\u201d Charland said. \u201cThe suspect allegedly injured him with a possible sharp object.\u201d<\/p>\n
The suspect seems to have injured the 31-year-old man after he attempted to intervene, Charland said.<\/p>\n
The suspect fled before police arrived, she said.<\/p>\n
Police have yet to identify the suspect and have made no arrests.
