STORRS, Conn. – \u00a0The UConn women’s tennis team completed a 2-0 weekend against Marquette and Providence. The Huskies started the weekend with a 7-0 win over Marquette and ended the weekend with a 7-0 win over Providence.<\/p>\n
The Huskies dominant weekend began with a sweep in no-1 through no.6 singles. Ela Platenikova<\/a> set the tone early with a 6-4, 6-2 win while Isabella Asenov<\/a> rounded out the sweep with a. 6-0, 6-1 win.<\/p>\n In doubles the Huskies won no.2 and no.3 doubles matches while the no.1 doubles matchup went unfinished.<\/p>\n The matchup against Providence was similar as the Huskies won two doubles matchups (no.1 and no.3) while no.2 doubles went unfinished.
