{"id":573507,"date":"2026-03-31T19:16:10","date_gmt":"2026-03-31T19:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/573507\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T19:16:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T19:16:10","slug":"suns-great-amare-stoudemire-inducted-into-naismith-basketball-hall-of-fame","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/573507\/","title":{"rendered":"Suns great Amar&#8217;e Stoudemire inducted into Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Phoenix Suns great Amar\u2019e Stoudemire is among the inductees for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ShamsCharania\/status\/2039037531417612295?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">class of 2026<\/a>, according to ESPN\u2019s Shams Charania.<\/p>\n<p>Stoudemire is joined by Candace Parker, Elena Delle Donne and Doc Rivers, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Coming straight out of high school, Stoudemire arrived in Phoenix as the No. 9 overall pick in 2002. He went on to win Rookie of the Year before earning an All-NBA First-Team selection in 2007 and All-NBA Second-Team nods in 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The five-time All-Star, who was inducted into <a href=\"https:\/\/arizonasports.com\/empire-of-the-suns\/amare-stoudemires-long-awaited-suns-night-comes-with-ring-of-honor-nod\/3543823\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">the Suns Ring of Honor in 2024<\/a>, helped lead Phoenix to the playoffs five times.<\/p>\n<p>In his eight seasons with Phoenix, Stoudemire averaged 21.4 points on 54.4% shooting. He added 8.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.4 blocks across 34.3 minutes per game.<\/p>\n<p>From a franchise history standpoint, he\u2019s seventh in points (11,035), third in rebounds (4,613) and fifth in blocks (722).<\/p>\n<p>Following his time in Phoenix, Stoudemire played five seasons with the New York Knicks (2010-15) where he added one more All-Star accolade to his resume.
