UPDATE: Peel Regional Police said shortly before 3 p.m. on Tuesday that the \u201chold-and-secure\u201d alerts at the three Mississauga schools has been lifted. (Original story below)<\/p>\n

Three schools in Mississauga\u2019s east end have been partially locked down on Tuesday afternoon due to a police call in the area.<\/p>\n

Dixie Public School, Tomken Road Middle School and St. Thomas More Elementary School have all been placed in \u201chold-and-secure\u201d mode as a precaution, Peel Regional Police said at around 2:15 p.m.<\/p>\n

Police said officers are in the area for \u201ca person in crisis call\u201d that\u2019s not related to any of the schools.<\/p>\n

Dixie Public School is located on Flagship Drive while the other two schools are situated close together on nearby Tomken Road.<\/p>\n

\u201cHold-and-secure\u201d orders put schools on notice that something is happening in the vicinity related to a police call.<\/p>\n
