We have a feel-good story that connects with race fans,\u201d Mears said. \u201cOne thing I\u2019ve learned during the last year is how much I still love racing and competing. I\u2019m incredibly appreciative of Bob Germain and his continued support as I close in on 500 Cup starts. His generosity is moving and I\u2019m thankful for his friendship.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve watched Beard Motorsports race over the years, and it\u2019s a team that doesn\u2019t just show up for superspeedway races \u2013 they make races and are competitive.
