{"id":573725,"date":"2026-03-31T21:33:15","date_gmt":"2026-03-31T21:33:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/573725\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T21:33:15","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T21:33:15","slug":"tornadoes-possible-with-storms-set-to-hit-southern-ontario","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/573725\/","title":{"rendered":"Tornadoes possible with storms set to hit southern Ontario"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Parts of southern Ontario got hit with strong thunderstorms overnight and another round is set to hit portions of the region.<\/p>\n<p>Environment Canada issued a thunderstorm outlook for Tuesday which says that southwestern Ontario and portions of the Golden Horseshoe (location A on the map below) will see the worst of it.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s even a chance for tornadoes, but Environment Canada said it\u2019s \u201cfairly low.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The storms are expected late Tuesday afternoon and evening.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA line or area of strong thunderstorms is expected to develop and move east across portions of southern Ontario,\u201d forecasters said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe main threats are wind gusts up to 90 km\/h and up to toonie size hail.
