Soccer fans looking for another alternative to watch a World Cup match in Toronto can head to the waterfront. <\/p>\n
Canada Soccer, the governing body for soccer in the country, announced it will be holding an \u201cofficial fan home\u201d through the GE Appliances Canada Soccer House<\/a> at Harbourfront Centre on select dates between June 11 and July 2. <\/p>\n The organization said it will be a free event where fans can watch matches on large screens. <\/p>\n Canada Soccer says there will also be live entertainment, food and beverages, retail pop-ups, games, and prizes. <\/p>\n \u201cSoccer has the power to reflect who we are as a country\u2014diverse, connected, and united\u2014and Canada Soccer House Toronto will be a place where fans from across communities come together to celebrate, belong, and proudly cheer on Canada\u2019s team on the world stage,\u201d Kevin Blue, Canada Soccer\u2019s CEO, said in a news release.<\/p>\n Programming details and event schedules will be announced in the upcoming weeks, Canada Soccer said.<\/p>\n Canada Soccer House Toronto is one of several free fan-focused events taking place during the World Cup season in Toronto. <\/p>\n The official FIFA Fan Festival Toronto will be held at The Bentway and Fort York National Historic site throughout this year\u2019s tournament.
