Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) continues to trim<\/a> its expansive roster of mixed martial arts (MMA) talent.<\/p>\n

Today (Tues., March 26, 2026), it was revealed that three fighters have been removed from UFC\u2019s active roster<\/a>, meaning they have been released from their respective contracts and\/or the promotion decided not to extend them. Guilherme Cruz first reported the news<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The three fighters who lost their jobs are: Antonio Trocoli, Bruna Brasil, and Luana Carolina.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s start with Trocoli.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old Brazilian \u2014 and husband of UFC Strawweight champion Mackenzie Dern \u2014 had a long and winding road to the Octagon, but it ultimately didn\u2019t lead to success.<\/p>\n

When he finally made his UFC debut in 2024, it didn\u2019t go his way.<\/p>\n

Trocoli showed flashes in his short-notice debut against Shara Magomedov before getting knocked out in the third round (watch highlights). He would go on to lose his next three fights<\/a>, most recently dropping a sloppy decision to Mantas Kondratavicius.<\/p>\n

Brasil (11-7-1) had a bit more success but never found consistency.<\/p>\n

After scoring a highlight-reel knockout on Contender Series to earn her contract (watch highlights<\/a>), the 32-year-old had an up-and-down Octagon career. Her biggest moment came as a +275 underdog when she defeated Molly McCann at UFC London in 2024, along with a win over Ming Shi.<\/p>\n

Still, it wasn\u2019t enough to stick around and exits the promotion with a 3-5 record.<\/p>\n

As for Carolina (11-5), the talent was there \u2014 but discipline proved to be her downfall.<\/p>\n

\u201cDread\u201d picked up solid wins over Loopy Godinez<\/a>, Julija Stoliarenko, and Priscila Cachoeira, finishing her run with a respectable 6-4 record.<\/p>\n

That proved to be the final straw.<\/p>\n

Carolina also found herself on the wrong end of some of the promotion\u2019s nastiest finishes, including Ariane Lipski\u2019s infamous kneebar (watch highlights<\/a>) and McCann\u2019s spinning back elbow knockout (watch highlights<\/a>).<\/p>\n

In the end, inconsistency \u2014 both on the scale and in the cage \u2014 cost her.<\/p>\n
