{"id":574165,"date":"2026-04-01T02:03:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T02:03:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/574165\/"},"modified":"2026-04-01T02:03:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T02:03:08","slug":"spring-schedule-will-bring-later-hours-more-buses-to-some-winnipeg-transit-routes-city-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/574165\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring schedule will bring later hours, more buses to some Winnipeg Transit routes, city says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Ten bus routes will be getting later hours and five will see more frequent service when Winnipeg Transit switches to its spring schedule on April 12, the city says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The following bus routes will see extended late-night hours in just under two weeks, a Tuesday news release from the City of Winnipeg says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">680: River Heights-Cambridge.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The city&#8217;s communications manager, Alissa Clark, said the newly-extended routes will run past midnight until around 12:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Council approved the later hours in a recent budget update.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The city says it is also sending more buses along five of the transit service&#8217;s busiest routes, which have seen more riders than expected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Route 74 between CF Polo Park and Old Commonwealth Path.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Route 676 from St. Vital Centre to Bridgwater Centre and from St. Vital Centre to Creek Bend Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Some transit users will see fewer buses along two routes because of lower-than-expected ridership, the city said.
