(It has since been announced that Rousseau will retire later this year.)<\/p>\n While Canada has two official languages, that does not make us a country in which everybody has command of both languages. Air Canada CEO Michael Rousseau did a perfectly fine job in his condolence speech to the public. There was absolutely no need for it to be made political.
