{"id":575079,"date":"2026-04-01T12:00:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T12:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/575079\/"},"modified":"2026-04-01T12:00:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T12:00:09","slug":"stephen-colbert-gives-trump-reminder-of-1-word-he-shouldnt-use","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/575079\/","title":{"rendered":"Stephen Colbert Gives Trump Reminder Of 1 Word He Shouldn&#8217;t Use"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Colbert pointed to a new threat against Iran posted on the president\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/topic\/truth-social\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Truth Social<\/a> website in which he demanded that the country reopen the Strait of Hormuz, then issued a not-so-veiled threat to destroy the nation\u2019s civilian infrastructure if they don\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>One word stood out to Colbert. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomeone who\u2019s mentioned in the Epstein files over 38,000 times should not \u2014really, should not put quotes around the word \u2018touched,\u2019\u201d Colbert pointed out. <\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a reference to the files related to late convicted sex offender <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/news\/topic\/jeffrey-epstein\" target=\"_blank\" role=\"link\" class=\" js-entry-link cet-internal-link\" data-vars-item-name=\"Jeffrey Epstein\" data-vars-item-type=\"text\" data-vars-unit-name=\"69cca733e4b010aa53490217\" data-vars-unit-type=\"buzz_body\" data-vars-target-content-id=\"\/news\/topic\/jeffrey-epstein\" data-vars-target-content-type=\"feed\" data-vars-type=\"web_internal_link\" data-vars-subunit-name=\"article_body\" data-vars-subunit-type=\"component\" data-vars-position-in-subunit=\"3\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>, who was once close friends with Trump.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Trump is mentioned throughout those files \u2015 and perhaps even more frequently than Colbert suggested.
