There will be a closure of the emergency department in Thessalon this week due to physician shortages.<\/p>\n
The North Shore Health Network says the emergency room will shut down at 8 a.m.\u00a0on Wednesday, April 1. It\u2019s not scheduled to reopen until 8 a.m.\u00a0on Friday, April 3.<\/p>\n
There will be a nurse practitioner available on site Wednesday from 8\u00a0a.m. to 8\u00a0p.m.<\/p>\n
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should still call 9-1-1. Ambulances will be re-routed.<\/p>\n
