Police are investigating after a stolen vehicle from Brampton was used in the attempted thefts of multiple Toyotas and Lexus\u2019 in Guelph.<\/p>\n

The incidents happened in the city\u2019s south end on Monday, and started in the area of Ptarmigan Drive and Pheasant Run Drive, the Guelph Police Service says.<\/p>\n

Police were called after a resident heard glass breaking and saw someone inside her neighbour\u2019s 2023 Toyota Tundra, and when officers arrived they found the truck in the middle of the road.<\/p>\n

The owner confirmed he had installed a disabling device to prevent theft, police say.<\/p>\n

Then just after 4 a.m., officers were called to the area of MacAlister Boulevard and Dudley Court after a man was seen on security camera scoping out a resident\u2019s 2022 Toyota Tundra.<\/p>\n

Investigators say the man was first seen on camera around 2 a.m., and returned two hours later and broke a side window of the truck, but fled after an alarm was activated.<\/p>\n

The third incident was reported shortly after 4:30 a.m. at a home near Clairfields Drive East and Beaver Meadow Drive.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s where a resident also spotted a man on video just before 3 a.m. approaching his 2026 Lexus RX350, police say. The same man came back just after 4 a.m. and tried to open the car, but was scared off when the homeowner activated a doorbell alarm.<\/p>\n

Police believed all three attempted thefts are related, and say the suspects were driving a white Honda Civic and a dark-coloured Acura that was stolen from Brampton.<\/p>\n

One of the suspects is described as a Black male in his 20s with an average height and build, wearing a black sweater with the hood up, dark pants, a high-visibility vest, a medical mask and gloves. Another suspect was described a male wearing a dark sweater with white stripes on the arms, dark Adidas track pants and medical gloves.<\/p>\n
