In an enforcement report<\/a>, the federal agency said that 89,592 bottles of Children\u2019s Ibuprofen Oral Suspension are being recalled due to the \u201cpresence of foreign substance.\u201d <\/p>\n Here’s what to know about the recall. <\/p>\n What Children’s Ibuprofen is Affected?<\/p>\n Strides Pharma\u2019s 100 mg Children\u2019s Ibuprofen Oral Suspension, USP, 100 mg per 5mL, sold in 4 FL OZ (120 mL) bottles were manufactured for Taro Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc., before being distributed across the country. <\/p>\n The report said the recall was voluntary and initiated by Strides Pharma Inc., located in New Jersey. <\/p>\n The impacted children\u2019s ibuprofen has lot numbers of 7261973A and 7261974A, with an expiration date of Jan. 31, 2027. <\/p>\n TODAY.com has reached out to Strides Pharma for a comment. <\/p>\n Why Was It Recalled?<\/p>\n The firm removed the products after receiving complaints describing \u201ca gel-like mass and black particles\u201d in the medicine, the FDA notes.<\/p>\n Following the complaints, the recall was initiated on March 2, the report said. The FDA labeled the recall as Class II on March 16. <\/p>\n A Class II recall involves \u201ca situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote,\u201d according to the FDA\u2019s website<\/a>. <\/p>\n What to Do If You Have the Recalled Product?<\/p>\n People should immediately stop using the recalled product.
