Popular vitamin C supplements nationwide have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prevention.com\/recalls\/\" target=\"_self\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.prevention.com\/recalls\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"recalled\" data-node-id=\"0.1\" class=\"body-link css-1xnf0nh emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">recalled<\/a> due to undeclared ingredients, according to the U.S. Food &amp; Drug Administration.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"1\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Per the <a rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/blueroot-health-issues-voluntary-allergy-alert-undeclared-egg-hazelnut-and-soy-vital-nutrients-aller\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/blueroot-health-issues-voluntary-allergy-alert-undeclared-egg-hazelnut-and-soy-vital-nutrients-aller\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"FDA\u2019s announcement\" data-node-id=\"1.1\" class=\"body-link css-1xnf0nh emevuu60\">FDA\u2019s announcement<\/a>, the two lots of Vital Nutrients Aller-C supplements were recalled by Blueroot Health because they may contain egg, hazelnut, and soy that were not disclosed on the label. \u201cPeople who have allergies and\/or severe sensitivity to egg, hazelnut, and soy run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction\u201d if they consume the affected supplements, the FDA warns.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"2\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Here\u2019s everything you need to know.<\/p>\n<p>Which products are impacted by the recall?<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"5\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">All of the supplements impacted by the recall were manufactured by Blueroot Health and sold in white plastic bottles containing either 100 or 200 capsules. Check your medicine cabinet for the following:<\/p>\n<p>200-count bottles of Vital Nutrients Aller-C with lot number 25E04-B100-count bottles of Vital Nutrients Aller-C with lot numbers 25E04-A or 25E04-B<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"7\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">All of the recalled bottles display the expiration date of 05\/27. The supplements were distributed nationwide by Vital Nutrients and other online retailers. You can return the product to Blueroot Health for a replacement bottle. If you have any questions, you can email support@vitalnutrients.co or call the number (888) 328-9992. No illnesses associated with the recalled supplements have been reported.
