Here are the Stanley Cup Playoff clinching scenarios for April 2:<\/p>\n
EASTER CONFERENCE<\/p>\n
The Buffalo Sabres will clinch a playoff berth:<\/p>\n
If they defeat the Ottawa Senators in any fashion (7 p.m. ET; RDS2, TSN5, MSG-B).<\/p>\n
OR<\/p>\n
If they get at least one point against the Senators AND the Philadelphia Flyers defeat the Detroit Red Wings in any fashion (7 p.m. ET; FDSNDETX, NBCSP) AND the Carolina Hurricanes defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets in any fashion (7 p.m. ET; FDSNOH, FDSNSO).<\/p>\n
The Carolina Hurricanes will clinch a playoff berth:<\/p>\n
If they defeat the Blue Jackets in any fashion.<\/p>\n
OR<\/p>\n
If they get at least one point against the Blue Jackets AND the Flyers defeat the Red Wings in any fashion AND the Sabres defeat the Senators in regulation.<\/p>\n
The Tampa Bay Lightning will clinch a playoff berth:<\/p>\n
If they defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins in regulation (7 p.m. ET; The Spot, SN-PIT) AND all of the following occur:<\/p>\n
1. The Flyers defeat the Red Wings in regulation.<\/p>\n
2. The Hurricanes defeat the Blue Jackets in regulation.<\/p>\n
3. The Sabres defeat the Senators in any fashion.<\/p>\n
OR<\/p>\n
If they defeat the Penguins in overtime or shootout AND all of the following occur:<\/p>\n
1. The Flyers defeat the Red Wings in regulation.<\/p>\n
2. The Hurricanes defeat the Blue Jackets in regulation.<\/p>\n
3.
