The U.S. Under-19 Women\u2019s National Team will make a rare trip to Argentina for a training camp running from April 9-18 and two matches against the hosts.<\/p>\n
The USA will face the Argentina U-19 WNT on April 14 and April 17 at the Argentina Football Federation Training Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina.<\/p>\n
The roster features three NWSL players, midfielder Melanie Barcenas from San Diego Wave FC, goalkeeper Evan O\u2019Steen from Seattle Reign FC and forward Micayla Johnson from Chicago Stars FC. Defender Sealey Strawn of Dallas Trinity FC is the lone USL Super League player on the roster. The remainder of the roster is made up of collegiate players.<\/p>\n
The 18-year-old Barcenas is in her fourth professional season and has two goals for San Diego this season while Strawn has scored three goals for Dallas Trinity FC. Johnson, who scored her first NWSL goal last season against Utah, had two goals in the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women\u2019s World Cup. O\u2019Steen, defender Pearl Cecil<\/a> and forward Lauren Malsom<\/a> are the other three players on this roster who played in that U-17 World Cup. Malsom scored three goals in the World Cup in group play, one against Ecuador and two against China PR.<\/p>\n Defenders Kiara Gilmore<\/a>, Jordyn Hardeman<\/a>, Daya King<\/a>, Johnson and O\u2019Steen also played in the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women\u2019s World Cup at which the USA finished third, its best finish since the inaugural FIFA U-17 WWC tournament in 2008.<\/p>\n Sixteen players on this roster were born in 2007, and four were born in 2008.
