{"id":579410,"date":"2026-04-03T10:48:15","date_gmt":"2026-04-03T10:48:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/579410\/"},"modified":"2026-04-03T10:48:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-03T10:48:15","slug":"toronto-police-release-new-photos-of-suspect-wanted-in-suspected-hate-motivated-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/579410\/","title":{"rendered":"Toronto police release new photos of suspect wanted in suspected hate-motivated incident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police say they are still searching for a suspect who allegedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cp24.com\/local\/toronto\/2026\/02\/26\/police-search-for-man-who-allegedly-hurled-anti-black-slurs-spat-at-someone-in-torontos-path-network\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.cp24.com\/local\/toronto\/2026\/02\/26\/police-search-for-man-who-allegedly-hurled-anti-black-slurs-spat-at-someone-in-torontos-path-network\/\">hurled anti-Black slurs and spat at someone in downtown Toronto<\/a> in January. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The incident happened the evening of Jan. 16, in the PATH underground network along King Street, between Scotia Plaza and First Canadian Place. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Toronto police say a man allegedly engaged in an \u201cunprovoked confrontation\u201d with a person he did not know. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">When the victim confronted the suspect after they were spat on, police say the suspect aggressively walked toward them while uttering racial slurs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The suspect was last seen walking toward Scotia Plaza. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police describe the suspect as six-foot-tall and in his late 20s with a slim build, dark-coloured hair and tattoos on the backs of his hands. They add that he was last seen wearing burgundy pants, dark-coloured running shoes, white wired earbuds, and a black three-quarter-length winter jacket with the hood up and red vents on the torso under each arm.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/G42YLKOBH5GYTFBBZVGI3JZ77A.jpg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/>Suspect Police are searching for a suspect in connection with a suspected hate-motivated incident in Toronto&#8217;s PATH system.
