Consider it a reminder to never give out your bank information or cards to someone claiming to work for your bank.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday April 1 in waterloo a victim was contacted by a person claiming to work for Scotiabank, who claimed their cards had been used fraudulently.<\/p>\n

They convinced the victim to tell them their PIN, and once they got it informed them a courier would be sent to their address to collect their cards.<\/p>\n

At roughly 5:30 p.m. a suspect arrived at their residence on Helene Crescent to get the cards, and they were used to make fraudulent purchases as well as withdraw cash from the account. <\/p>\n
