An Ottawa man is facing a slew of sexual offences following an investigation into child sexual assault and exploitation in the Ottawa area.<\/p>\n
Upper Ottawa Valley OPP say it received information on Mar. 21 that a child may have been lured over the internet for sexual purposes.<\/p>\n
Police opened an investigation and have now charged 23-year-old Omer Yildirim with a list of charges.<\/p>\n
Those charges include:<\/p>\n
Two counts of sexual assault causing bodily harm \u2013 choking, suffocating or strangling;<\/p>\n
Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication;<\/p>\n
Three counts of invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age;<\/p>\n
Two counts of sexual interference;<\/p>\n
Possession of child abuse and exploitation material; and<\/p>\n
Making sexually explicit material available to a person under 16 years of age.<\/p>\n
Yildirim remains in custody.<\/p>\n
