<\/p>\n NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 3, 2026) \u2013 The University of North Alabama women’s tennis team suffered a defeat by the Lipscomb Bisons on Friday with a 4-1 result in Nashville, Tenn.<\/p>\n North Alabama (14-4) fell to the Bisons in only the second loss in the previous 15 contests. The dual started competitively in doubles, but Lipscomb fended off a Lions’ surge for the early advantage. The Bisons continued in singles taking three of the four completed bout enroute to the home win.<\/p>\n Despite the result, junior Mathilde Delaney<\/a> was victorious in her respective singles contest. She claimed her 10th of the season with a straight-set triumph from court three. The win also marked her first against a conference opponent this season.<\/p>\n The contest began with junior Louise Booker<\/a> and freshman Sammie Schouten<\/a> dropping a tight 6-4 bout to Kameliia Tytarenko and Martina Bovio from court three. Lipscomb claimed the doubles point after Delaney and junior Emma Ansorge<\/a> fell in a 6-4 battle from court one against Mariia Dolzhenko and Serafima Bobrovnikova.<\/p>\n Dolzhenko won the first singles match in 6-2, 6-0 win over Ansorge from court two. Delaney answered from the third flight with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Deborah Dominguez Collado.<\/p>\n Schouten and Bobrovnikova battled from court four, but Lipscomb took a 3-1 team lead after a 6-4, 7-5 win by Bobrovnikova.
