David Michael Borden (Dave)<\/p>\n
January 10, 1957 – April 1, 2026<\/p>\n
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Michael Borden (Dave) at William Osler Health Centre – Brampton Civic Hospital. His loss is felt profoundly by all who knew and loved him.<\/p>\n
At the heart of Dave’s life was his family. A deeply devoted and loving husband to his wife Elaine and proud and cherished father to his son Christopher. Treasured and loving brother to Len, Cathy (Steve), and Ken (Valerie). Dear kind Uncle to his nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by his father-in-law, Bill Foskett (the late Kathleen), and Ann Haddock, all of whom Dave held in high regard<\/p>\n
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, very large extended family and countless friends whose lives he touched through his honesty, genuine friendship, and unwavering loyalty.<\/p>\n
Dave was the cherished son of the late Joseph and Evelyn Borden.<\/p>\n
Dave grew up in Bramalea (Brampton), Ontario, where he formed many of his lifelong friendships. He continued to make Brampton his home while building a long and dedicated career at Litton Systems in Rexdale. He later took on a supervisory role overseeing the trades leading up to the opening of the William Osler Health System – Brampton Civic Hospital, and he continued his career there for many more years.<\/p>\n
Dave, Elaine, and Chris treasured their time at their family cottage on Georgian Bay in Tiny Township, where they shared countless gatherings and celebrations with family and friends, both old and new.<\/p>\n
Elaine and Chris are forever grateful to all who supported them and cared for Dave in his final years, special thanks to those who visited, called, shared stories, and lifted his spirits with cherished memories.<\/p>\n
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made in Dave’s memory to a charity of your choice.<\/p>\n
