After playing to a scoreless draw through regulation and overtime, the Hurricanes defeated the Eagles 5-4 in PKs, thanks in part to a key save from goalkeeper Donato Farina.<\/p>\n<p>Klein Cain, led by reigning All-Greater Houston Player of the Year Parker Glenn, will face off against Atascocita (21-5-3) in the first of two all-Houston showdowns at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Eagles are making the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.houstonchronicle.com\/sports\/high-school\/article\/atascocita-boys-soccer-uil-state-semifinals-22187238.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">first state title game appearance<\/a> in program history after a 4-1 victory against Cibolo Steele in the semifinals Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The second local matchup comes in the finale of the championships as College Park (18-3-3) takes on Summer Creek (21-2-6) for the 6A Division II crown at 6:30 p.m. Both programs are making their first state title game appearances, though College Park reached the semifinals in 2019. Summer Creek beat Austin Vandegrift 3-0 in the semifinals, while the Cavaliers took care of business with a 1-0 win over Plano West.<\/p>\n<p>On the girls side, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.houstonchronicle.com\/sports\/high-school\/article\/kingwood-girls-soccer-state-semifinals-22161659.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kingwood<\/a> is aiming to capture its third state championship (1995, 1999). The Mustangs defeated Dripping Springs 1-0 in the semifinals, advancing to the title game for the first time since 2002. They will take on either Southlake Carroll or Forney at 11 a.m. next Saturday for the 6A Division II crown.<\/p>\n<p>Lake Creek (17-6-2) will be the first local girls team on the pitch, jumping into action for the 5A Division II title against a Grapevine (18-5-6) program aiming for its second championship since 2023. Lake Creek is making its first title game appearance after outlasting San Antonio\u00a0Pieper for a 4-3 semifinal victory Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The Brookshire Royal (28-1-1) boys will get it all started for the Houston area with its 4A Division II\u00a0matchup against Bridgeport (21-3) at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
