\u201cWe\u2019ve stayed friends to this day,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n
So much so that Plumb and her husband have a monthly Zoom call with Knight and his wife.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re due for one now,\u201d Plumb noted, explaining that it started during the COVID-19 pandemic and has continued.<\/p>\n

Plumb was already a seasoned child actress when she won the role of Jan in the sitcom, which ran from 1969 to 1974 and spawned a spate of TV spinoffs, specials and two movies.<\/p>\n
Jan\u2019s \u201cmiddle-child\u201d issues, like feeling overshadowed by older sister Marcia (played by Maureen McCormick), which prompted the now-famous whiny, petulant catchphrase, \u201cMarcia, Marcia, Marcia!\u201d made her character maybe the most memorable of the six siblings.<\/p>\n
Plumb did not appear in the short-lived spinoff series \u201cThe Brady Bunch Hour,\u201d which ran for only nine episodes. Geri Reischl filled in for Jan, leading many fans to believe Plumb disliked being associated with the sitcom \u2014 something she said is not true.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the time, I was shooting [the TV movie] \u2018Dawn: Portrait of a Teenage Runaway,\u2019 and decided that I would continue to try other avenues,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n
Although, she did take part in the short-lived sitcom, \u201cThe Brady Brides,\u201d which saw Jan and Marcia sharing a house, both as newlyweds.<\/p>\n
Plumb acknowledged that, as a child actress, she was lucky to have a stable home life and parents who encouraged her and meticulously looked after her earnings.<\/p>\n

She said she earned \u201cenough\u201d from the sitcom, \u201cbut it wasn\u2019t ever a lot of money, and so it was invested, and I didn\u2019t have to get a day job, which was fortunate.\u201d<\/p>\n
