\n\tJamie Lee Curtis<\/a> is clapping back at a negative review of her new film Freakier Friday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Friday, Time magazine posted a section of their review of the film to Instagram<\/a>, which reads: \u201cNo one, as far as we know, actually asked Disney for a sequel to 2003\u2019s buoyant \u2026 Ugly costumes, humiliating scenarios, and zero added value \u2014 this is a sequel with the sole purpose of cashing in on the fondness people have for the original movie and nothing more. The worst part is, Freakier Friday arrived in a pack of other sequels with genuinely fresh takes on their original source material.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Halloween actress reacted to the review by commenting, \u201cSEEMS a TAD HARSH. SOME people LOVE it. Me being one.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFreakier Friday is a sequel to 2003\u2019s Freaky Friday<\/a>, which sees mother Tess (Curtis) and daughter Anna (Lindsay Lohan<\/a>) swap bodies, which ultimately helps strengthen their relationship. In its follow-up, viewers see another body swap, but this time, it adds a multigenerational twist. Chad Michael Murray\u00a0also returns to the film.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the premiere, in July, Murray praised working with Curtis and Lohan. \u201cI\u2019ll ride those girls\u2019 coattails anytime. I came in, and you never know what to expect, you\u2019re sitting there going, \u2018Oh God, let\u2019s not screw it up,\u2019 Murray told The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>. \u201cYou\u2019re going to make a sequel, and I hate to say it, but it\u2019s as good, if not better \u2014 they delivered.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite Time\u2018s take on the film, Freakier Friday is being received well by fans and many critics, as on Rotten Tomatoes, it currently holds a 94 percent audience score and 73 percent critics\u2019 score. It\u2019s also opened to more than $30 million<\/a> at the box office.<\/p>\n

\n\tFreakier Friday is directed by Nisha Ganatra and released by Disney. It\u2019s now playing in theaters.<\/p>\n
