{"id":583090,"date":"2026-04-05T04:25:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-05T04:25:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/583090\/"},"modified":"2026-04-05T04:25:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-05T04:25:07","slug":"suspects-sought-by-police-in-church-and-wellesley-assault","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/583090\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspects sought by police in Church and Wellesley assault"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Toronto police are asking for the public\u2019s help in identifying two suspects wanted in an assault investigation in the Church and Wellesley neighbourhood.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The incident took place Saturday at around 12:22 a.m., when police responded to a call about an assault in the Church Street and Alexander Street area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police said the victim was walking down the street when a car drove by and two suspects yelled a homophobic slur at him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The suspects then parked their vehicle and followed the victim.
