CITYNEWS <\/p>\n<p>Two people are dead following a late-night shooting in Brampton. <\/p>\n<p>Police in Peel Region were called to the Rutherford Road and Weybridge Trail area, north of Williams Parkway, just before 10:30 p.m. Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a group of individuals who were at the school, some type of altercation occurred, a firearm or firearms were discharged, and two people were shot,\u201d Cst. Laurie McCann said in an update on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p>One of the victims was located at the basketball courts behind St. Joachim Elementary School on Rutherford Road North, while the second victim was found on the front driveway of a home on Weybridge Trail.<\/p>\n<p>A man in his 20s and a teenager were pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the suspect(s) fled the scene before they arrived, but it\u2019s uncertain if they escaped on foot or in a car.
