Let\u2019s remember, it\u2019s not soldiers who start wars, it\u2019s politicians. It\u2019s Easter, please pray for peace in our troubled world.<\/p>\n

As a professional driver with over a million kilometres of safe driving under my belt I am horrified on a daily basis by the bad driving habits I witness. After people pass their driving test they seem to totally forget the rules of the road. There should be mandatory proficiency testing every time people renew their license. Since I got my steering papers 50 years ago, conditions, traffic volume and signage have changed a great deal. Driving skills and knowledge need to keep pace for our roads to maintain some semblance of safety. Safe and courteous driving habits are a responsibility we need to foster.<\/p>\n

Re: Mayor Knack\u2019s Asia trip a taxpayer-funded holiday (April 4)<\/a>. If this news had come out on April 1, many people might have dismissed it as an April Fool\u2019s joke but surprisingly, it\u2019s real. One noticeable similarity between the prime minister and this mayor is their enthusiasm for travel, particularly to China, which naturally raises questions. If these agreements are truly so critical, why can\u2019t they be handled remotely? Even if he has the authority to finalize deals without federal or provincial oversight, virtual meetings are now standard practice worldwide after COVID\u201119. They save time, money, and effort, and they\u2019re an efficient way to communicate and conduct business. At what point will we begin to see our leaders demonstrate more responsible behaviour?<\/p>\n

RE: ATA president worried about Bill 25\u2019s impact on schools (April 1)<\/a>. Seriously, what is Jason Schilling talking about? I think it\u2019s a very, very long stretch from keeping out classrooms politically neutral, to not teaching the Holocaust. Seriously, he asks what it means to be neutral. He\u2019s supposed to be an educator. Can I have my money back?<\/p>\n
