Easter Sunday Parade: what roads are closed?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A few major streets in Toronto\u2019s east end are set to be closed on Sunday in order to make way for the annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beacheseasterparade.ca\/parade\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.beacheseasterparade.ca\/parade\">Toronto Beaches Lions Club Easter Parade<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 60th annual parade starts at 2 p.m., kicking off at Queen Street East and Munroe Park Avenue before continuing along toward Woodbine Avenue, Lake Shore Boulevard East to Coxwell Avenue. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Though the whole event will take around two hours in the afternoon, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/65508\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/65508\/\">Toronto Police are advising drivers<\/a> to be aware of the full and partial road closures in the area throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">These are the road closures that will be in effect Sunday: <\/p>\n<p>From 10 a.m. until noon, Queen Street East from Munroe Park Avenue to Fallingbrook Road will be partially closedFrom 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., Queen Street East from Munroe Park Avenue to Fallingbrook Road will be fully closed, as well as Nursewood Road from Queen Street East to 24 Nursewood Rd.From 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Queen Street East from Woodbine Avenue to Fallingbrook Road will be fully closedFrom 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Woodbine Avenue from Queen Street East to Lake Shore Boulevard East, as well as Lake Shore Boulevard East from Coxwell to Woodbine avenues will be fully closed<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">There are a number of transit lines that are being temporarily rerouted as a result of the Beaches Easter Parade. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Commuters looking to take either the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ttc.ca\/service-advisories\/Service-Changes\/92-Temporary-route-change-due-to-Beaches-Easter-Parade\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">92 Woodbine South<\/a> bus, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ttc.ca\/service-advisories\/Service-Changes\/64-Temporary-route-change-due-to-Beaches-Easter-Parade\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">64 Main<\/a> bus, or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ttc.ca\/service-advisories\/Service-Changes\/501-Temporary-route-change-due-to-Beaches-Easter-Parade\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">501 Queen<\/a> streetcar will want to check the TTC\u2019s website to see what stops will not be served during the parade.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The parade will take place rain-or-shine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/weather.gc.ca\/en\/location\/index.html?coords=43.655,-79.383\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Environment Canada forecasts<\/a> a high of 7 C for Toronto this Easter Sunday, with mainly cloudy skies and a 60 per cent chance of rain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A few major streets in
