The San Francisco 49ers<\/a> made a few big moves this offseason, with the additions of Mike Evans and Dre Greenlaw being among their bigger moves.<\/p>\n

Osa Odighizuwa and Christian Kirk were also added, but when it comes to free agency signings, Evans and Greenlaw are the stars of the show.<\/p>\n

However, according to Mike Sando of The Athletic<\/a>, one NFL executive is predicting that both Evans and Greenlaw will get hurt in 2026, a wild prediction for someone involved in the NFL to make.<\/p>\n

49ers get wild prediction from NFL exec on Evans, Greenlaw<\/p>\n

“Everyone starts talking about the substation and, ‘Why are we always hurt?'” one NFL executive said. “It’s because you sign hurt players. Mike Evans is going to miss 4-6 games this year, Dre Greenlaw is going to miss eight, and you are going to wonder why your players are always hurt.”<\/p>\n

This is a wild prediction for an NFL executive to make. It’s not a simple one, believing this free agent signing or a trade won’t work out due to a scheme fit or some other reason. It’s a prediction that’s a whole lot worse than that.<\/p>\n

Predicting the 49ers will deal with injuries that force Evans to miss upwards of six weeks and Greenlaw to miss eight is a wild one to make for anyone, let alone an NFL executive.<\/p>\n

It’s entirely possible the Evans and Greenlaw signings don’t end up panning out. But, to predict that the 49ers will lose both to injuries for an extended period of time is a step too far.<\/p>\n

The 49ers have dealt with injury issues the last few seasons, which has partially been responsible for the electrical substation conspiracy theories.<\/p>\n

But, for this NFL executive to pile on and predict that two of the 49ers’ biggest offseason additions will get hurt in 2026 is a wild prediction to make.<\/p>\n
