{"id":584614,"date":"2026-04-05T22:15:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-05T22:15:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/584614\/"},"modified":"2026-04-05T22:15:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-05T22:15:09","slug":"hockey-soccer-slo-pitch-charity-tournaments-returning-to-kelowna","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/584614\/","title":{"rendered":"Hockey, soccer, slo-pitch charity tournaments returning to Kelowna"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>              Hockey, soccer, slo-pitch charity tournaments returning to Kelowna<\/p>\n<p class=\"pubStamp\">Published 3:00 pm Sunday, April 5, 2026<\/p>\n<p>The fun-filled weekend of sports, fundraising, and community is set to take place in Kelowna.<\/p>\n<p>The 17th annual McElhanney Cares Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon charity hockey, soccer and slo-pitch tournament weekend is coming back to the Mission Sports Complex on May 29 and 30.<\/p>\n<p>Since the tournament began, more than $690,000 has been raised in support of Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon, including over $121,000 raised in last year alone.<\/p>\n<p>On top of the tournaments, there will be a 50\/50 draw, raffles, and a silent auction, and an online auction with all funds going directly to Ronald McDonald House BC &amp; Yukon.<\/p>\n<p>There are currently 16 hockey teams, 10 soccer teams, and 14 slo-pitch teams registered.
