MALIBU, Calif. \u2013 Portland men’s tennis faced its fourth consecutive ranked opponent and came up short in a 4-0 loss at No. 28 Pepperdine \u00a0in West Coast Conference action at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The Pilots dropped the doubles point as the Waves picked up wins at the top two positions.<\/p>\n
Pepperdine then controlled the singles matches and earned straight set wins at No. 2, No. 6 and No. 3, respectively, the clinch the team victory.<\/p>\n
Stefan Skobelev won the first set against Hugh Winter at No. 4 singles and was trailing 5-2 in the second when the match was abandoned.<\/p>\n
