soon, including some major city centres.<\/p>\n<p>We were warned late last month about how the weather in April <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/calgary\/alberta-april-forecast-wet-cold\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">was shaping up for Alberta<\/a>, and spring may be taking a backseat at times <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/calgary\/alberta-weather-forecast-three-months\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">over the next few months<\/a>, too.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) Significant Weather Outlook, small portions of Alberta are at risk of seeing snow on Monday, April 6.<\/p>\n<p>The risk of snow is concentrated in the northern and middle portions of the Alberta Rockies, \u00a0with areas north and south of Jasper National Park potentially receiving five to 10 centimetres.<\/p>\n<p>Further north, Grande Prairie to Rainbow Lake may also be hit by five to 15 centimetres of snow.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" title=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1266\" height=\"1234\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2258684\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">ECCC Significant Weather Outlook<\/p>\n<p>The event on Tuesday, April 7, is set to be more impactful for Alberta, with some large cities at risk or very close to being included in the hazard areas.<\/p>\n<p>The outlook is a busy one, with areas like Peace River and Lloydminster looking at 10 to 20 centimetres of snow, while areas such as High Prairie, Slave Lake, Athabasca, Lac La Biche, and Cold Lake get the highest weather threat of the day, with a moderate impact and 15 to 20 centimetres.<\/p>\n<p>The Edmonton region, Edson, Drayton Valley, Whitecourt, Waterton Lakes National Park, and Jasper National Park may see five to 10 centimetres of snow, with Calgary just on the edge of that threat on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>A strip of the Foothills may see snowfall amounts in the five to 15 centimetre range, and a wind threat of gusts up to 80 kilometres an hour is in play for southeastern Alberta.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"alberta forecast \" title=\"\" Weather Outlook<\/p>\n<p>The forecasts for Alberta\u2019s two largest cities signal snowfall events are on the way, with Edmonton set to see periods of snow on Monday, April 6, and a 60 per cent chance of flurries on Tuesday, April 7.<\/p>\n<p>The seven-day forecast for Calgary has the snow risk starting today, with periods of snow in store for the city today and periods of light snow tonight, followed by a 30 per cent chance of flurries tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Rain or snow may appear on Wednesday, April 7, with a nice bump in daytime highs on the way, rolling towards next
