The fight brought up 50 outings for both of the 40-something heavyweights, but while Chisora insists he will now retire Wilder (45-4-1, 43 KOs) is adamant he will only get better from here.<\/p>\n
The “Bronze Bomber” has opened the door to a fight with 21-year-old sensation Itauma (14-0, 12 KOs), the generational talent tipped to become a long-reigning heavyweight champion.<\/p>\n
When asked if he would be willing to facing Itauma, Wilder said: \u201cYeah man. I\u2019m in the heavyweight division and all these other characters are in the heavyweight division so why not?<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m not dodging anyone. I\u2019m a veteran in the game and I\u2019m looking forward to fighting any and all of them. If the fans want to see it, then why not?\u201d<\/p>\n
Itauma, a converted southpaw, made his professional debut in January 2023. His most recent outing came late last month against Jermaine Franklin, who he dropped and stopped in five rounds at Manchester\u2019s Co-op Live Arena.<\/p>\n
His handlers at Queensberry Promotions have struggled to find credible opponents willing to face the Slovakia-born star, but Wilder, a former WBC heavyweight champion, is ready to provide the yard stick.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cI didn\u2019t know who Moses was but I\u2019ve seen some of his highlights and I saw his last fight against Jermaine Franklin. What a hell of a KO that he did.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe seems like a potential champion that you guys have here so, hey, why not test him out?\u201d<\/p>\n
Now that he\u2019s spoiled Derek Chisora\u2019s 50th and final fight at O2 Arena this Saturday night, it\u2019s time to look ahead.<\/p>\n
