Lukas Neumayer<\/a>\u2019s path to his maiden ATP Challenger title was anything but straightforward.<\/p>\n \nThe Austrian had come up empty in his first six finals at that level, repeatedly knocking on the door without breaking through. But on Sunday in Barletta, he finally flipped the script, triumphing at the clay-court event to secure his long-awaited milestone.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \nNeumayer, 23, rallied past Michele Ribecai<\/a> 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the final of the Open Citt\u00e0 della Disfida – Trofeo Lapietra. Following his title run, Neumayer is up 30 places to No. 194 in the PIF ATP Rankings.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a very positive tournament for me because I felt in good shape and played good tennis,\u201d said Neumayer. \u201cI\u2019m happy with this victory. Argentine Facundo Diaz Acosta<\/a> continued his run of form at the S\u00e3o L\u00e9o Open de T\u00eanis in Brazil, where he clinched his second Challenger title of the season. The 25-year-old, who reached a career-high No. 47 in April 2024, overcame Hugo Dellien<\/a> 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 in the final. In 2024, Nicolas Mejia<\/a> won his maiden Challenger title in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and dedicated the victory to his late father<\/a>, who passed in April 2017. On Sunday, the Colombian again won the Banorte Tennis Open<\/a>, his fourth ATP Challenger trophy. World No. 278 Liam Broady<\/a> returned to the winner\u2019s circle for the first time since February 2023. The 32-year-old won the all-British final at the Koyushokucho Miyazaki Challenger<\/a>, defeating Harry Wendelken<\/a> 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 on the Japanese hard courts.<\/p>\n
