Remembering the 2025 Women\u2019s Summit<\/p>\n

As we mark the first anniversary of the WBC Women\u2019s Summit 2025, the World Boxing Council celebrates the legacy of an event that redefined the industry.<\/p>\n

Held during the first days of April 2025 in the world\u2019s boxing capital, Las Vegas, this forum was more than just a gathering of champions; it was a manifesto for unity, justice, and the growth of women in the sport.<\/p>\n

The Summit focused on fundamental pillars: fighter safety, purse equity, mental health, and the development of post-retirement opportunities.<\/p>\n

Working groups allowed attendees to debate officiating, judging, and the importance of female representation in leadership roles, highlighted by the historic appointment of Duane Ford as WBC Vice President during the event.<\/p>\n

One of the most brilliant moments of the Summit was the participation of undefeated former world champion Laila Ali.<\/p>\n

As one of the most influential figures in boxing history, Laila not only shared her ring experience but also inspired attendees with her vision on female leadership and the importance of building a legacy beyond the sport.
