U.S. President said that \u201cIran can be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night\u201d at a news conference at the White House on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can tell you they\u2019re [Iran] negotiating, I think, in good faith, we will find out,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Trump had earlier promised to enforce a Tuesday night deadline for Iran to agree to a ceasefire deal or face attacks on the country, including power plants and other critical infrastructure.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re giving them until eight o\u2019clock [p.m.] Eastern time, and after that, they will have no bridges, no power plants.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump also cited that this past weekend was \u201cone of the best Easters militarily\u201d being shot down by in separate attacks on Friday.<\/p>\n

on Monday, instead saying the country wants a permanent end to the war. The deadline focuses on Tehran opening the\u00a0Strait of Hormuz, through which a fifth of the world\u2019s oil is shipped in peacetime.<\/p>\n

Saying that reopening the strait is a \u201cbig priority,\u201d Trump\u00a0has stressed to that there needs to be a deal \u201cacceptable to me by Tuesday deadline.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Trump said that Iran\u00a0that if a deal is not reached to reopen the strait, the U.S. would set the country \u201cback to the stone ages.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also is urging the Iranian people to rise up against the government within the country if a ceasefire were to be declared.<\/p>\n

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also told reporters that the largest volume of strikes since the first day of the conflict against Iran would take place on Monday, also warning that Tuesday would have even more.<\/p>\n

Trump said he is \u201cvery disappointed in ,\u201d saying that the countries involved in the 77-year-old U.S.-led military alliance have \u201cgone out of their way to not help.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also called out South Korea, Australia and Japan for not helping the U.S. in its conflict with Iran.<\/p>\n

This is not the first time Trump has called NATO this, last week that he is considering withdrawing the U.S. from NATO.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh yes, I would say [it\u2019s] beyond reconsideration. I was never swayed by NATO. I always knew they were a paper tiger, and Putin knows that too, by the way,\u201d Trump said in the interview.<\/p>\n
