Lady Gaga cancelled her final Montreal show Monday evening, citing a worsening respiratory infection, just hours before she was due to perform to a sold-out crowd.<\/p>\n

The singer announced the decision in a message posted on Instagram shortly after 5 p.m.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so sorry to share that I\u2019m unable to perform tonight and have to cancel the show,\u201d the singer wrote in all capital letters.<\/p>\n

She said she had been \u201cfighting a respiratory infection for the past few days,\u201d but that her condition had deteriorated.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy doctor has strongly advised me not to perform today and, to be honest, I don\u2019t think I could give you the quality of a performance today that you deserve,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

The cancellation came after two performances on Thursday and Friday<\/a>, which she described as \u201cmagical and deeply meaningful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans had been expected to fill the venue again Monday night for the final show of her Montreal stop.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know how deeply disappointing this is, and I truly could not feel worse about letting you down. I\u2019m so sorry to everyone who made plans to be there and support me.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo everyone who was coming tonight, I\u2019m absolutely heartbroken and so sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Automatic refunds will be given if the ticket was purchased via credit card,\u00a0 a press release following the cancellation said, noting that refunds can take up to 30 days to be processed.<\/p>\n

Fans who purchased their tickets in person are advised to contact info@evenko.ca<\/a> to receive their refund, the press release said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
