Two people have suffered serious injuries, including one who was airlifted to hospital, following a shooting in Brampton on Monday.<\/p>\n
The incident happened shortly before noon in the area of Central Park Drive and Glenvale Boulevard in Brampton, Peel Regional Police say.<\/p>\n
Investigators say the shooting started as an \u201caltercation\u201d in the area, and that two people suffered serious injuries. Police say there\u2019s no threat to the general public.<\/p>\n
Both of the victims, who are in their 20s, were \u201cwalk-ins\u201d at a local hospital, Peel Regional Paramedic Services has confirmed. One of the victims was airlifted from hospital to a trauma centre by an Ornge Air Ambulance, Peel paramedics say.<\/p>\n
Officers are on the scene and are asking drivers to avoid the area while the investigation is underway.<\/p>\n
