ATP Monte Carlo Day 3 Predictions
\nTerence Atmane vs Ethan Quinn<\/p>\n
Head-to-head: first meeting<\/p>\n
Terence Atmane made a great run to the fourth round of the Miami Masters and showed once again how dangerous he is when playing well. However, he has little experience on clay courts and is making his debut in Monte Carlo. The good thing for him is that his opponent is not much more experienced either, and is coming off a straight-sets defeat in the second round of qualifying. Lucky losers can be dangerous, but Atmane is in good form and he should have a slight edge in this one.<\/p>\n

Jakub Mensik vs Fabian Marozsan<\/p>\n
Head-to-head: Mensik 2-0 Marozsan<\/p>\n
Jakub Mensik slipped down the rankings from 13 to 26 after failing to come close to defending his title in Miami. However, the early exit in Miami must have given him ample time to prepare for his first appearance here, and I expect him to show his best tennis this week. Fabian Marozsan is a solid opponent, but Mensik has defeated him previously on clay, which should give him the confidence to do it again. Mensik\u2019s forehand is less likely to break down on these slow surfaces, and his serve is still going to be effective.<\/p>\n

Grigor Dimitrov vs Tomas Martin Etcheverry<\/p>\n
Head-to-head: Dimitrov 1-0 Etcheverry<\/p>\n
Grigor Dimitrov has performed well here in the past, with two semifinal appearances and multiple other deep runs. However, his form since his return has been terrible, and he is still looking for that one week where he finds his best level. It\u2019s unlikely to happen on his first match on clay, especially against a formidable opponent. Tomas Martin Etcheverry has already won a title on clay this season and will suffocate Dimitrov with his consistency. The Argentine should have the edge here.<\/p>\n

Alexander Bublik vs Gael Monfils<\/p>\n
Head-to-head: Bublik 1-2 Monfils<\/p>\n
Former finalist Gael Monfils came back from a set down to beat Tallon Griekspoor in the first round. This was the Frenchman\u2019s best win of the season, and he will like his chances against Alexander Bublik, who hasn\u2019t played his best tennis in over a month. Bublik has just one win from four appearances in Monte Carlo and does not like the slow conditions. However, he has been a changed player in the last year or so, and his results on this surface were exceptional in 2025. Expect an entertaining match, but Bublik should prevail if he locks in.<\/p>\n
