The 2026 Masters, pro golf\u2019s first major of the year, kicks off this week at Augusta National<\/a>. 2026 Masters preview<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve finally made it. Major season kicks off this week with the Masters, and the world\u2019s best golfers are in Augusta National, preparing to compete for the green jacket in front of millions of golf fans.<\/p>\n

Rory McIlroy<\/a> comes into the week as the defending champion, having captured his first Masters title last year in dramatic fashion. His planned Masters Champions Dinner<\/a> will set a high bar for the week. But once that is over, and Wednesday\u2019s Masters Par 3 Contest is complete, McIlroy\u2019s attention will turn to his title defense.<\/p>\n

A field of 90 other elite competitors<\/a> will do everything they can to stop McIlroy from grabbing a second consecutive green jacket and sixth major title. That includes two-time champion and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler<\/a>, 2023 winner Jon Rahm<\/a> and two-time major champ Bryson DeChambeau<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2026 Masters TV schedule (ET)<\/p>\n

ESPN and CBS will share coverage of the 2026 Masters on TV. ESPN will air the first and second rounds on Thursday and Friday, as well as coverage of Wednesday\u2019s Masters Par 3 Contest. CBS will air the third and final rounds on Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n
